The Philippine-grown aromatic rice variety Dinorado (also known as NSIC Rc218 or Mabango 3) has won the silver award at the 2025 World’s Best Rice competition held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

This year’s contest drew 30 entries from leading rice-producing countries, including Thailand, India, and Australia. Dinorado was praised for its soft texture, distinct aroma, and flavor.
