Min Bernardo, mother of actress Kathryn Bernardo, has strongly condemned misleading social media posts that falsely quote her daughter. She urged content creators and netizens to stop using Kathryn’s name and image for unverified or manipulated stories.
Min pointed out that adding or removing even a single word from a quote can change its meaning completely — turning it into “fake news.” She emphasized, “Don’t twist the story just to get more viewers. It’s unfair.” Despite having remained largely silent on previous distortions, she said there is a limit to how much pain and silence a mother can bear.
Kathryn’s management team also denied the fake quote. They clarified that Kathryn never made the alleged statement and called on people to double-check facts before sharing or reposting.
