Independent Commission for Infrastructure Holds Command Conference at Camp Crame to Align Probe Strategies

The Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) convened a command conference at Camp Crame to coordinate a unified investigation into alleged irregularities in flood‑control and infrastructure projects. The session brought together the ICI, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and other key agencies.

According to Special Adviser General Rodolfo Azurin Jr., the conference aimed to streamline task forces, establish sectoral responsibilities, and deploy field teams across regions. Field activities are planned from Davao to Ilocos and Cebu in the coming days.

The ICI’s probe prioritises 80 identified flood‑control projects allegedly involving top contractors previously flagged by the President. These projects are under scrutiny for possible malfunction, non‑construction, or budget misuse.
