Typhoon Uwan’s Eye Moves Over Coastal Waters of La Union After Crossing Luzon

Rewritten Article:
The eye of Typhoon Uwan has emerged from the Luzon landmass and is now centered over the coastal waters of La Union. The system remains powerful, with sustained winds of around 150 km/h near the centre and gusts up to 230 km/h.

Provinces under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 4, including La Union, Pangasinan, and Ilocos Sur, are expected to experience typhoon‑force winds of 118–184 km/h within the next 12 hours. Heavy rainfall and storm surges up to 3 metres are also anticipated in exposed coastal and upland areas.

The typhoon is moving west‑northwest at approximately 25 km/h. Even though it is now over coastal waters, strong winds and heavy rains continue to pose serious threats to communities along its path.
