As many Filipinos head to their home provinces for the Undas holiday, the DICT is calling on everyone to alert authorities if they encounter locations with weak or no internet/mobile signal.
According to the agency, signal-blackout zones should no longer be an accepted issue — especially during busy travel periods when connectivity can mean the difference between safety and being stranded.
Travelers are encouraged to take a moment whenever they reach their destination or stop along the way: check if mobile data, text or voice calls are working; if not, send a report via the DICT’s official channel. This will help the DICT and its partner telcos map out weak-signal areas and respond more quickly in future.
