MMDA Temporarily Allows Provincial Buses on EDSA to Ease Undas Travel Surge

In preparation for the expected travel rush during the Undas period, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced the temporary lifting of restrictions on provincial buses traversing Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA). The measure aims to smooth the flow of passengers returning to their home provinces for the holiday.

Starting October 29 until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, November 4, provincial buses will be permitted to operate along EDSA throughout the day.

Under the arrangement, buses coming from Northern Luzon may use terminals in Cubao, Quezon City, while those from the south may stop at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) in Parañaque and nearby Pasay.

MMDA officials emphasize the move is part of their “Oplan Undas” operations, designed to accommodate the high volume of travelers and ensure safer, more efficient transport during the holiday.
