The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has suspended the license of a motorist who was caught on video losing his temper at a traffic enforcer.
According to the LTO, the driver was seen engaging in a heated confrontation with the enforcer after being stopped for a traffic violation. The incident quickly spread online, prompting the agency to take swift action.
In a statement, the LTO said the motorist’s behavior showed a lack of respect for traffic authorities and violated road safety regulations. The suspension aims to remind all drivers to remain calm and courteous when dealing with law enforcement on the road.
Officials added that the driver must undergo a reorientation and road safety seminar before his license can be reinstated. The agency reiterated its warning that aggressive or disrespectful conduct toward traffic enforcers will not be tolerated.
