Actor Sam Milby revealed he’s undergoing stem cell therapy in hopes of improving his health as he continues his battle with Type 2 diabetes.
Milby shared a photo from a hospital in Pasay City on Instagram, where he was preparing for his first stem cell treatment. “First time to try stem cell therapy to help improve my type 2 diabetes. Excited to share with you guys my journey,” he captioned.
In a video released by the hospital, Milby shared that the past year had been particularly challenging, saying his condition has progressively worsened. “I’ve been diagnosed for two years now, and sadly, it’s been getting worse. That’s why I’m trying this treatment,” he said.
Support poured in from fans and fellow celebrities, including actor Troy Montero and beauty queen Emmanuelle Vera, who left encouraging messages on his post.
The Saving Grace star disclosed his diabetes diagnosis in June 2024, admitting he had no family history of the illness. He urged others to stay proactive with their health, sharing that his symptoms included constant thirst and frequent urination—signs he initially dismissed.
“I always thought I was healthy. I don’t crave sweets and rarely eat junk food. But I learned the hard way. If only I had gotten checked earlier,” he said, adding a reminder for others to never ignore early symptoms.
