Actress Carla Abellana has strongly refuted recent rumors suggesting she is rekindling her relationship with ex-husband Tom Rodriguez, calling out a gossip post for spreading false information and threatening to take legal action for libel.
The actress reposted a screenshot of the speculative report on her Instagram Story, criticizing its anonymous source and slamming the claim that she still has feelings for Rodriguez or that they’re in reconciliation talks. “What if I just sue you and your ‘source’ for libel?” Abellana wrote.
The controversial post claimed that her father, Rey Abellana, supported her alleged emotional openness toward reconnecting with Rodriguez—an assertion she appears to firmly reject.
Carla and Tom married in October 2021 after a long-term relationship but separated shortly thereafter. Tom later obtained a divorce decree in the U.S., which was legally recognized in the Philippines by June 2024.
Later that year, Tom made headlines again by announcing he was the father of a baby boy named Korben—an anagram of “broken”—though he chose not to reveal the identity of the child’s mother.
