Actress Nadia Montenegro shared that actor Baron Geisler is now reconnecting with their daughter, Sophia Asistio, and that things are “working out” between them after years of strained ties.
In an interview with journalist Karen Davila for a vlog episode released Thursday, May 22, Nadia reflected on her past with Geisler and their efforts to move forward. “I never regretted being with Baron, but I regretted the situation he was in at the time,” she said, referring to Geisler’s past struggles with sobriety.
Montenegro revealed that conversations with Geisler in recent months have been productive, and that Sophia has been staying with him since February. The two are now working together in preparing for Sophia’s transition into college.
Her sister, Tania Montenegro, admitted she strongly opposed Nadia’s relationship with Geisler due to past emotional pain it caused. However, Tania shared that she eventually gave Baron a second chance when he reached out and expressed a willingness to change.
The reconciliation follows a revelation made by Nadia in June of the previous year, confirming that Geisler is Sophia’s biological father—clarifying that her late husband, Boy Asistio, was not. Nadia had earlier criticized Baron’s public revelation of his fatherhood as being made “for views.”
