Kiko Pangilinan Urges Grassroots Push for Kiko-Bam Tandem Ahead of May 12 Elections

With just a week left before the May 12 midterm elections, former Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan has rallied supporters to intensify efforts in promoting his and fellow candidate Bam Aquino’s senatorial bids.

Speaking at a campaign event in General Santos City, Pangilinan emphasized that the final days of the campaign are crucial, urging volunteers to go door-to-door, visit public markets, and personally engage with friends, neighbors, and co-workers. “Every vote counts,” he said, stressing that direct, personal conversations are more powerful than social media influence.

Both Pangilinan and Aquino are currently within the 10th to 18th range in the latest OCTA Research senatorial preference poll, with 30.3% and 32.3% support respectively.

Highlighting the stakes of the 2025 elections, Pangilinan said voters have the power to shape the country’s future and reject undeserving candidates. His wife, actress Sharon Cuneta, also appealed to voters to make informed choices, urging them not to vote based on looks or popularity alone.

Pangilinan also received the endorsement of the United Bangsamoro Justice Party, linked to the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, during visits to Marawi City and Sultan Kudarat.
