MANILA — A resurfaced photo from a 2023 baptism has fans speculating that actress Erich Gonzales may have quietly welcomed a child with her husband, businessman Mateo Lorenzo.
The now-private Facebook post was shared by priest Frankie Mabanta, who officiated the baptism. The image showed Erich holding a baby beside Mateo, with the caption identifying the child as “Jose Mateo,” son of the couple. Mabanta noted the touching generational connection, revealing that he had also baptized Mateo in 1992 and officiated the wedding of Mateo’s parents, Martin Ignacio Lorenzo and Leah De Leon Lorenzo, in 1998.
Gonzales, who has kept her private life out of the spotlight, has not made any public statement regarding the child or the post. Still, the photo—now circulating widely via screenshots—has thrilled fans who have long followed her love story with Lorenzo.
The couple reportedly began dating in 2018 and tied the knot in a low-key ceremony in March 2022 in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
