Actor Baron Geisler was released from detention after being arrested for public intoxication in Mandaue City, Cebu on February 23.
Authorities from Canduman Police Station took Geisler into custody at 3:50 a.m. after he allegedly caused a disturbance in Barangay Canduman. He was detained for violating City Ordinance No. 11-2008-434, which penalizes severe intoxication in public.
Geisler was released the following day after paying a fine, according to reports from Cebu Daily News and Bombo Radyo Cebu.
Ongoing Struggles with Alcoholism
The Incognito actor has been open about his battle with alcoholism, with his wife Jamie Evangelista revealing in 2022 that he experienced a relapse. Later that year, Geisler spoke about his sobriety journey, acknowledging that while it has been mostly smooth, it remains a daily challenge.
Neither Geisler nor his agency, ALV Talent Circuit, have issued a statement regarding the incident.
