Catriona Gray was visibly emotional during TJ Monterde’s heartfelt performance of his song Hanggang Dito Na Lang at his concert on February 2. The beauty queen was seen wiping away tears as the breakup song resonated deeply with the audience, as shown in videos shared by concertgoers on social media.
Before performing the song, Monterde reflected on the pain of parting ways in relationships. “Isa sa pinakamahirap na part ng relationships ‘yung goodbyes. Five years, seven years, three years, tapos sa isang iglap wala na siya,” he said.
As Monterde sang, the LED screen captured Gray tearfully covering her lips, seemingly suppressing her emotions. In a TikTok video posted by @ynahsecretarioflo, Gray is seen leaning on her friend Isabel Oli’s shoulder after noticing herself on the screen.
Adding to the speculation surrounding Gray’s emotional reaction, she was seated just a few seats away from actor Sam Milby, amid ongoing rumors of their breakup.
Gray and Milby, who went public with their relationship in May 2020, announced their engagement in February 2023. However, in early 2024, their talent management company acknowledged the couple was “facing some challenges” but were “actively working to resolve these issues together.”
In May 2024, fans noticed that Gray had removed engagement photos with Milby from her Instagram page, and Milby celebrated his birthday without Gray, further fueling breakup rumors. As of now, neither Gray nor Milby has publicly confirmed the status of their relationship.
Gray has not commented on her emotional display during the concert.
