The revelation happened during the January 16 episode of It’s Showtime, where Chiu’s co-hosts teased her about the bike. Darren Espanto mentioned her newfound love for cycling, saying, “She bought a bike because she wants to be active.”
Chiu corrected him, responding, “Hey, I already have a bike. The bike is a gift. It was given to me.” Her playful reaction sparked further teasing from her co-hosts, who asked, “Gift from him?” prompting laughter and an attempt to change the subject.

The pink bike in question, a Trek Madone Gen 8 SLR Project One, features custom pink paint, a Giro D’ Italia decal, and a pink Ceramicspeed OSPW, as detailed by Blooms Runs Club founder Patrick in an Instagram post.
Fans noticed the bike in viral cycling photos of Chiu and Avelino, adding fuel to the speculation. Fellow It’s Showtime host Ion Perez even sent Chiu a video message encouraging her to bring the person who gifted her the bike for a ride.

While neither Chiu nor Avelino has confirmed the rumors, their chemistry has been evident both on and off-screen. The duo is set to star in the upcoming film My Love Will Make You Disappear, their first big-screen pairing after collaborating on the Philippine adaptation of What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim and the TV series Linlang.
