Filipina actress Andrea del Rosario shared an amusing story about meeting Hollywood star Vin Diesel during a vacation in the United States. Del Rosario spoke about the encounter in the “Kitchen-terrogate” segment of Lutong Bahay, hosted by Mikee Quintos, on Wednesday, November 27.
When asked to name a celebrity she rejected, del Rosario jokingly responded with Vin Diesel’s name, but then went on to recount their brief interaction.
A Chance Meeting
Del Rosario revealed that she met Diesel at a bar where his bodyguards approached her to relay his interest. Initially unaware of who Diesel was, she eventually agreed to meet him.
“His bodyguards came up to me and said, ‘Hey, you know, he wants to meet you.’ I asked, ‘Who?’ and then said okay,” del Rosario recalled.
Later, Diesel invited del Rosario and her friends to his house parties, where they got to spend more time together.
“Rejection” and Goodbye
Del Rosario clarified that their friendship didn’t progress due to her return to the Philippines. “We went to his house several times for parties, and we had moments to talk. But then, I had to go back home,” she explained.
In a previous interview with Karen Davila, del Rosario mentioned that she and Diesel kept in touch via email for a while after her return but admitted that it didn’t go further. “Unfortunately, hanggang gano’n lang talaga (that was it),” she said with a laugh.
Del Rosario’s lighthearted story reflects a memorable encounter that left her fans both amused and intrigued.
