Actor Anthony Jennings has confirmed his breakup with his non-showbiz girlfriend, Jam Villanueva, putting months of speculation to rest.
In an interview during the media conference for his action TV series Incognito, Jennings revealed that their relationship ended months ago due to “personal issues” that he declined to elaborate on.
“Months ago na rin kaming hiwalay ni Jam (Jam and I broke up months ago),” Jennings said, admitting that he had shortcomings in their relationship. “Ako ‘yung may pagkukulang do’n. Problema ko ‘yon and dapat ko ‘yon ayusin mag-isa (I was the one who had shortcomings. That’s my problem, and I should fix it on my own).”
Respecting Privacy
Jennings appealed for fans to respect Villanueva’s privacy, noting that she is not a celebrity. He also addressed rumors linking him to his love-team partner Maris Racal, asserting that they are just friends.
“Magkaibigan lang po kami [ni Maris] and sana matigil na rin ‘yung mga gano’ng issues (Maris and I are just friends, so I hope those issues will stop),” he stated.
Hints of Heartbreak
Breakup rumors first surfaced in September when Villanueva shared cryptic social media posts about heartbreak and betrayal. Recently, she further intrigued netizens with hints about a cheating ex-boyfriend and a coworker who allegedly crossed professional boundaries.
Jennings and Villanueva were together for five years before their split.
