Ken Chan Responds to Estafa Case: ‘I Did Not Deceive Anyone’

Actor Ken Chan has spoken out regarding the syndicated estafa case filed against him, firmly denying accusations of fraud and emphasizing that his business venture simply failed.

In an official statement shared on Instagram on Thursday, November 14, Chan explained that he and his partners had established Café Claus, a café with three branches, but the business eventually incurred losses and had to shut down.

“I did not deceive anyone. We set up the business, but it didn’t succeed,” he stated.

Addressing the Claims

Chan refuted claims that he solicited money under false pretenses, responding to the complainant’s allegations of a ₱14 million investment loss.

“Just because a certain amount is cited in the complaint doesn’t make it the truth. I will reveal the actual figures and details, as the complainant’s statements have been exaggerated,” he said.

Chan also accused some of his former business partners of sabotaging the company, which he claimed further tarnished his reputation.

“Café Claus failed, and one major reason was that certain business partners conspired to bring the company down and continue to destroy my name,” he said. “Through God’s mercy, I believe I will overcome this.”

Legal Actions and Denial of Flight

The actor assured the public that he has taken legal action and is prepared to defend himself in court.

“I am fighting and not running away from the case filed against me,” Chan declared, addressing reports that police had failed to serve his arrest warrant twice when he was not home.

Chan urged his supporters to pray for him, vowing to reveal the full truth behind the situation soon.
