Actress and “Unang Hirit” host Shaira Diaz revealed that she recently underwent a laparoscopic appendectomy to remove her inflamed appendix. Diaz shared her experience on Instagram, expressing gratitude for the successful procedure while requesting prayers for her recovery.
Diaz detailed that her appendix had swollen to three times its normal size, though thankfully it had not ruptured. “The fear, hardship, and pain that I suffered was great, but thanks to God, I have made it through,” she said. She also reminded her followers to pay attention to their health and seek medical advice when feeling unwell.
Her fiancé, actor EA Guzman, supported her throughout her surgery. On Instagram, Guzman shared a heartfelt prayer for Diaz’s recovery, expressing his gratitude and commitment to her well-being.
The couple, engaged since 2021, plans to marry in 2026 and previously shared their commitment to celibacy throughout their decade-long relationship.
