Mark Andrew Yulo, the father of double Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, was among the thousands of spectators in Manila who celebrated the country’s 2024 Paris Olympics athletes during a heroes’ parade on Wednesday.
A Proud Father’s Tribute
Mark Andrew proudly carried a banner reading “Caloy, dito Papa mo!” and was seen ecstatically jumping and cheering for his son. Carlos Yulo’s remarkable performance contributed to the Philippines’ best Olympic finish in 100 years.
Parade and Celebrations
The parade, which will culminate at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila, includes a program to honor the athletes. Carlos Yulo returned to the Philippines on Tuesday night and has since been busy with various engagements, including a courtesy call at Malacañang Palace and a visit to his condominium unit in Taguig.
Other Honored Athletes
Joining Yulo in the parade are fellow Olympians such as bronze medal winners Nesthy Petecio and Aira Villegas, along with Elreen Ando, Carlo Paalam, Lauren Hoffman, and Jarod Hatch, among others.
