Juliana Gomez has won another international fencing competition!
Juliana capped the 2022 fencing competition season with another victory as she bagged a gold medal at the West Java Fencing Challenge in Bogor, Indonesia.
Her father, Richard Gomez, congratulated her and her coach, Benny Garcia, through an Instagram post.
Last November, Juliana also won at the Thailand Open Fencing Championship. She practices fencing under the guidance of her father who’s also the current Philippine Fencing Association president.
Juliana is currently a student at the University of the Philippines Diliman where she’s taking up Public Administration. She initially joined the UP Volleyball team but decided to switch to fencing during the pandemic.
