Mayor Jerry Treñas of Iloilo City shared that their city will be following suit on Thursday, November 18. They are currently awaiting guidelines from the National Vaccines Operation Center. It is also reported that Western Visayas DOH will hold a virtual meeting with provincial officials to align about distributing booster shots.

There is currently no set record of how many booster shots have been administered across Bacolod and Negros Occidental. Bacolod EOC head Em Ang disclosed that they are looking to inject a total of 16,665 frontliners.

Last November 15, key representatives from DOH and FDA announced that booster shots are currently limited to health workers, essential workers, senior citizens, immunocompromised people, and those with comorbidities.

FDA also allowed the use of AstraZeneca, Pfizer, SinoVac, and Sputnik Light for emergency third doses.
