Fair, Warm Weather Expected Across Philippines on Monday, April 6

MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country are expected to experience generally fair and warm weather on Monday (April 6) as a ridge of a high-pressure area continues to influence conditions across the archipelago, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Weather specialists said the high-pressure ridge is bringing clear skies and lower chances of rainfall, resulting in warmer daytime temperatures in many areas of the country.

However, the weather bureau noted that isolated rain showers or thunderstorms may still occur in the afternoon or evening, particularly in the eastern sections of the Philippines due to localized thunderstorms and easterly winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.

Despite the generally fair weather, PAGASA advised the public to remain cautious, especially during thunderstorms, which could trigger sudden heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds in some areas.

The warm conditions come as the country continues to transition into the dry and hot season, when temperatures typically rise and rainfall becomes less frequent.

Meteorologists also warned that heat and humidity may increase in the coming days, urging people to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activities during peak afternoon heat, and monitor weather updates for sudden changes.
