MANILA, Philippines — The state weather bureau PAGASA reported on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, that most of the country will experience generally fair weather, though conditions will remain hot and humid throughout the day.
Key Weather Highlights:
- Easterlies Prevail: The easterlies (warm winds from the Pacific Ocean) are the dominant weather system currently affecting the country.
- Forecast Conditions: Most of the Philippines will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies. While weather is “fair,” it is expected to be hot and humid, particularly in the afternoon.
- Isolated Rain: Metro Manila and the rest of the country may still experience isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized weather disturbances.
- Northeast Monsoon (Amihan): Currently, the northeast monsoon has no effect on any part of the Philippines. However, PAGASA expects it to return to parts of Luzon by the coming weekend.
- No Tropical Threats: As of Wednesday morning, there are no low-pressure areas (LPA) being monitored within or near the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
Weather specialist Chenel Dominguez advised the public to stay hydrated and take precautions against the heat and sudden thunderstorms.
