QUEZON CITY, Philippines — A star-studded lineup of celebrities and OPM artists took the stage at the “People Power @ 40 sa QC: The Kick-Off Concert” on Saturday, February 21, 2026, to mark the 40th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution.
Held at the Quezon Memorial Circle, the event was themed “Awit at Aksyon Kontra Korapsyon (Song and Action Against Corruption),” serving as a collective call for good governance and transparency.
Key Participants and Performances:
- Headlining Artists: The concert featured major names in the entertainment industry, including Ogie Alcasid, Ice Seguerra, Janno Gibbs, Iza Calzado, and Ebe Dancel.
- OPM Bands and Soloists: Performances included Rivermaya, Over October, Stonefree, Madeline, Hey Moonshine, and rappers Pio Balbuena, Morobeats, Sisa, and Bassilyo.
- Other Notable Attendees: Vice Ganda, Bea Binene, Elmo and Arkin Magalona, Nica Del Rosario, and digital personalities like Ogie Diaz, Mama Loi, and DJ Jhaiho were also part of the lineup.

The Spirit of 1986
Organizers highlighted the parallel between the 1986 uprising and today’s challenges, stating: “Our countrymen united 40 years ago… now, with music and art, we can be freed from corruption if we unite again.” They emphasized that the spirit of People Power remains alive in citizens who take action and care for their fellowmen.
The concert is the first major event in a series of independent commemorations leading up to the February 25 anniversary, which celebrates the bloodless revolution that toppled the Marcos dictatorship four decades ago.
