MANILA – The Manila Water Foundation (MWF) has teamed up with Dexterton Corporation, a leading distributor of luxury bath fixtures and home essentials, to launch the “Upgrade and Give a Gift of WASH” campaign, aimed at rehabilitating and upgrading toilet facilities in public schools across the Philippines. The partnership, announced in December 2025, combines Dexterton’s expertise in premium sanitary wares with MWF’s long-standing Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) advocacy to create cleaner, safer learning environments for students.
Under the initiative, Dexterton donates one water closet unit to an MWF-partner school for every purchase of select premium brands at its showrooms. These donations will fund toilet rehabilitations starting in 2026, prioritizing schools with inadequate or outdated facilities. The campaign builds on MWF’s Lingap Eskwela program, which has already installed handwashing stations, drinking fountains, and sanitation infrastructure in hundreds of public schools nationwide.
A recent event in Taguig City highlighted the partnership, where Dexterton presented initial water closet units for campus toilet upgrades, complemented by MWF’s handover of WASH assets to schools like Taguig National High School and Tipas Elementary. Additional support came from partners like PHILUSA Corporation (donating cleaners) and the MWSS.
MWF Executive Director Reggie Ignacio emphasized the impact: “Proper sanitation is foundational for health and learning— this collaboration ensures more students have dignified facilities.” Dexterton representatives echoed the commitment to corporate social responsibility through meaningful, sustainable giving.
The drive aligns with DepEd’s WASH in Schools (WinS) program and UN Sustainable Development Goals, addressing gaps where many public schools lack functional toilets or handwashing areas.
