DTI and Converge Partner to Boost MSMEs’ Access to Internet and AI Tools

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has teamed up with Converge ICT Solutions to help micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) become more competitive by improving their access to high-speed internet and emerging digital technologies like artificial intelligence (AI).

Under their agreement:

  • DTI will establish an AI and startup center where MSME owners and their staff can be trained on digital skills, including AI.
  • Converge will provide connectivity packages tailored for these small businesses.
  • Converge will also support DTI’s digitalization initiatives by offering reliable broadband, onboarding help, and programs that help MSMEs use AI responsibly.

This initiative is especially targeted toward entrepreneurs in underserved and remote areas, giving them tools and training to innovate, automate, and expand.

DTI believes that arming MSMEs with both connectivity and digital skills is key to helping them compete globally — not just survive, but thrive as technology changes.
