Metro Police Deploys 16,433 Personnel for Three‑Day Rallies

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) announced that 16,433 police officers will be deployed from November 16 to 18 to secure simultaneous three‑day rallies organised by Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) and United People’s Initiative (UPI).

Of those, 8,641 officers will come from the NCRPO itself and 7,792 officers will be drawn from other regional offices.

Key venues include Quirino Grandstand in Manila for the INC rally and the EDSA People Power Monument in Quezon City for the UPI gathering. Additionally, police identified other areas under watch for possible spontaneous protests (“lightning rallies”), such as near the US Embassy, Mendiola, and other traditional demonstration sites.
