The Sandiganbayan has ruled that Janet Lim‑Napoles and a former executive of the National Livelihood Development Corporation (NLDC) are guilty of graft in connection with the alleged misappropriation of the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) attributed to Gregorio “Gringo” Honasan II.
According to the decision, Napoles and the ex-NLDC official were found responsible for channeling PDAF monies through dubious non-government organisations, thereby violating anti-graft laws.
This marks another significant development in the long-running “pork barrel” investigations, reaffirming that public funds intended for livelihood and development programs must be handled with utmost accountability.
