DOTr Suspends Driver’s License After Road-Rage Incident Involving Elderly Bus Driver

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has taken swift action and suspended the driver’s license of a pickup-truck driver who was caught on camera assaulting an elderly bus driver.

According to the agency’s statement, the license will be suspended for 90 days while the case is reviewed.

The incident reignited concerns over road rage, public safety, and respect for our public transport workers. It also sends a strong message that abusive behavior on the road will not be tolerated.

As the investigation continues, the DOTr has assured the public that further appropriate sanctions will be pursued — including a requirement for the driver to undergo anger-management or temper-control training before his license can be reinstated.
