State weather bureau PAGASA has raised Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 over several parts of Luzon, including areas within Metro Manila, as Tropical Storm Ramil continues to move closer to land.
According to PAGASA’s latest advisory, Ramil is bringing strong winds and heavy rainfall, prompting local authorities to prepare for possible flooding and landslides in low-lying and mountainous areas. The storm’s strong winds may also cause minor damage to structures and disrupt power lines in affected regions.
Residents are advised to stay indoors, secure loose items, and monitor updates from local disaster offices and PAGASA. Sea travel remains risky, especially for small vessels, due to rough coastal waters.
PAGASA continues to track Ramil’s movement and will issue updates as the system progresses.
