A landslide in Quezon town, Bukidnon, has caused a major disruption after it cut off a portion of the Bukidnon-Davao Road, authorities reported on Friday. According to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), heavy rains triggered the soil collapse, rendering the affected section impassable to motorists.
DPWH personnel have been deployed to the area to begin clearing operations, while local officials are urging motorists to take alternate routes. The agency has also reminded the public to remain cautious, as continuous rains could lead to more landslides or road blockages in the area.
The Bukidnon-Davao Road serves as a vital link between Northern Mindanao and Davao Region, making its closure a significant concern for both travelers and transport operators.
