A graduate from the University of Santo Tomas (UST) has claimed the top spot in the October 2025 Physicians Licensure Examination, according to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
The PRC released the results on Thursday, announcing that out of the thousands of examinees nationwide, the UST alum achieved the highest overall rating. The success adds another feather to UST’s cap, reinforcing its reputation as one of the country’s leading medical schools.
The licensure exam, administered by the PRC’s Board of Medicine, took place in several key testing centers across the country, including Manila, Cebu, and Davao. Successful examinees are now qualified to take their oath and officially practice medicine in the Philippines.
Families, friends, and mentors took to social media to celebrate the achievement, praising the hard work and dedication of all new doctors who passed the rigorous exam.
