Several local government units (LGUs) have announced class suspensions and a shift to alternative learning modes for Thursday, October 16, due to unfavorable weather conditions.
The decisions were made to ensure the safety of students and teachers as parts of the country continue to experience rain brought by the combined effects of the easterlies and the northeast monsoon (amihan).
Local authorities urged parents and students to stay alert for further advisories, as additional areas may adjust class schedules depending on weather updates from PAGASA.
For the full list of affected areas and schools implementing online or modular learning setups, residents are advised to check announcements from their respective LGUs or the Department of Education (DepEd).
