FPJ Panday Bayanihan party-list Representative Brian Poe Llamanzares has clarified that his endorsement of House Speaker Martin Romualdez is not only about supporting his leadership but also about backing President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s broader vision for national unity and progress.
In a Thursday interview, Poe confirmed his recent membership in the Party-list Coalition Foundation Inc., a bloc of party-list lawmakers in the House of Representatives. “Being new, I’m taking time to listen and learn from my colleagues,” he said.
Regarding his participation in the manifesto of support for Romualdez, Poe said, “The letter wasn’t just about endorsing Speaker Romualdez. It also expressed support for the President’s goals for the country.”
He added that he was glad to see the manifesto framed as a collective call for unity and sustained national development—values he readily supports.
So far, 283 of the 317 House members have signed the manifesto, with four more expressing support pending their formal endorsement.
