Content creator Zeinab Harake has addressed online speculation that her lavish wedding to basketball star Bobby Ray Parks Jr. cost P20 million, calling the claims exaggerated.
In an interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Harake revealed that the couple originally planned a small, intimate celebration. However, one of their godfathers generously built a venue for them over five months, which prompted them to hire top-tier suppliers as a gesture of gratitude.
“When we saw the venue, it was so beautiful, and we felt we had to match it with the best team,” she shared.
Host Boy Abunda brought up the viral estimate, to which Harake responded, “OA ‘yun.” She dismissed rumors that even claimed their wedding cake cost P2 million, clarifying, “It didn’t add up to P20 million at all.”
Harake added that while they did fund many aspects of the wedding themselves, the venue was a gift. The couple also addressed the viral paper plate issue, saying they were only used for pre-reception snacks, not the main meal.
Reflecting on married life, Harake said she’s still adjusting but feels incredibly blessed. “I didn’t expect to be this happy. I’m grateful to God for giving me such a good husband and father figure,” she said, also noting that she is not pregnant at the moment.
Zeinab and Ray Parks made their relationship public in 2023 and tied the knot in Tagaytay on June 1, 2025.
