Trump Urges Immediate Evacuation of Tehran as Israel-Iran Conflict Escalates

As Israeli and Iranian forces continue to exchange attacks for a fifth consecutive day, U.S. President Donald Trump issued a stark warning on Truth Social, urging civilians to “immediately evacuate Tehran” following what he described as Iran’s refusal to sign a nuclear agreement.

Trump’s statement came just before his early departure from the G7 summit in Canada to address the escalating Middle East crisis. The White House confirmed he would convene his National Security Council.

“Iran should have signed the deal I proposed. Now lives are being lost unnecessarily. Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon—I’ve said it time and again,” Trump posted.

French President Emmanuel Macron viewed Trump’s G7 exit as a sign of urgency in pushing for a U.S.-backed ceasefire between Israel and Iran. “There’s a serious proposal on the table. Now it’s up to the stakeholders,” Macron told reporters.

Iranian media reported explosions and heavy anti-air fire over Tehran and Natanz—home to major nuclear sites. The Sharan Oil depot in Tehran was reportedly struck by Israeli forces. Meanwhile, Israel faced fresh missile attacks overnight, prompting air raid sirens in Tel Aviv.

Iran has suffered at least 224 civilian deaths in five days, while Israel reported 24. Nearly 3,000 Israelis have been evacuated due to Iranian missile strikes. In response, Iran has reached out to Qatar, Oman, and Saudi Arabia to press Trump to urge Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to accept a ceasefire in exchange for nuclear negotiation flexibility.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated, “If Trump is serious about diplomacy, Israel must halt its aggression. Otherwise, our retaliation continues.”

Trump previously gave Iran 60 days to curb uranium enrichment—a demand that lapsed without agreement. Iran insists its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes.

The escalating air war saw Israel target Iran’s state broadcaster and uranium enrichment sites. The IAEA confirmed that Natanz sustained significant damage, likely destroying 15,000 centrifuges.

Oil prices surged over 2% following Trump’s evacuation call, after initial drops on Monday. Meanwhile, China advised its citizens in Israel to leave via land routes due to rising security threats.

Despite the intensifying conflict, Trump remains optimistic: “A deal will happen. Iran would be foolish not to sign.”
