New mom Megan Young brought smiles to fans with a funny and honest Instagram Reel, showing the contrast between her expectations and the reality of going into labor.
In the reel, Megan first shared glowing photos of her pregnant self, captioning them, “What I thought I would look like in labor.” But the second half of the video showed a very different scene—her pale and lying on a hospital bed right before giving birth.
She jokingly blamed her husband Mikael Daez for her less-than-camera-ready look, saying, “Akala ko may oras pa ako mag-ayos para maganda sa picture after giving birth… but when I woke up, I was fully dilated.”
Despite the surprise, Megan expressed gratitude for Mikael—whom she affectionately calls “Fofo”—who tied her hair during the process, albeit into what she described as a “Teletubbies” style. “I’m just thankful Fofo was there to take care of me,” she said.
Megan and Mikael, who married in 2020, welcomed their first child, a son, in May. The couple continues to share sweet and candid moments from their parenting journey.
