Actress and content creator Ivana Alawi has resurfaced on social media, posting smiling selfies and a fan-made video, while staying silent on allegations linking her to Bacolod City politician-producer Albee Benitez.
Alawi’s name was recently mentioned in a supposed complaint filed by Dominique “Nikki” Lopez-Benitez, Albee’s wife, alleging a violation of the Violence Against Women and Children Act. The complaint alleged an affair between Benitez and Alawi.
Although Alawi has not issued a formal statement, she shared a brief Instagram Story of herself smiling in a car, followed by a fan edit set to Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi”—both posts notably lacking any caption or clarification.
Benitez previously denied the accusations through his legal counsel, labeling them as “baseless and retaliatory,” especially since he had already filed for annulment in 2024. His camp also criticized the public exposure of unverified claims, noting that such disclosures violate confidentiality provisions under RA 9262.
Their son, Javi Benitez, has appealed for understanding, urging the public to refrain from spreading rumors and “paid drama,” while hoping for an amicable resolution between his parents.
