MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines will be the first to welcome the new Superman as the cast and crew of the upcoming film begin their global promotional tour in Manila.
Set for June 19, the fan event will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall. Stars David Corenswet (Superman), Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), and Nicholas Hoult (Lex Luthor) will be joined by writer-director James Gunn and DC Studios co-head Peter Safran to greet Filipino fans.
Ticket details for the Manila fan meet are still to be announced.
“Superman” marks the beginning of the new DC cinematic universe and is scheduled to hit theaters and IMAX screens on July 9. James Gunn described the movie as a heartfelt story about humanity and what it means to be a hero in a complex world.
The film also features a star-studded ensemble, including Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, and more.
