Manny Pacquiao Begins Training for Boxing Comeback This July

Boxing icon Manny Pacquiao has officially begun training in Los Angeles as he prepares for a comeback fight scheduled for July.

“This is a new chapter for me. I’m motivated and ready to prove I still belong in the ring,” Pacquiao said on Monday. “This fight is for the country and for everyone who believes my journey isn’t over.”

While not yet officially confirmed, reports suggest Pacquiao may face Mario Barrios for the WBC welterweight title. The 45-year-old fighter, who retired in 2021 to pursue a presidential bid, last fought professionally against Yordenis Ugas, where he lost via unanimous decision.

Pacquiao recently ran for a Senate seat in the 2025 elections but did not secure a spot in the top 12. With his focus now back on boxing, fans are eager to see the former champion return to form.

Pacquiao holds a professional record of 62 wins, 8 losses, and 2 draws, including 39 knockouts.
