Winwyn Marquez made her hosting debut on Unang Hirit this Monday and opened up about her journey in Miss Universe Philippines 2025, where she finished as first runner-up.
The Kapuso beauty queen admitted that a lot has changed in the pageant scene since she last competed in 2017, when she was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana.
“Medyo struggle, pero kinaya naman,” she said, pointing to how social media now plays a bigger role in the competition.
Asked whether this year’s pageant was her last, Winwyn clarified a recent remark suggesting she was closing the chapter on pageantry.
“I only said that because everything felt overwhelming. It was the end of the event, and I just wanted to go home,” she explained.
But she didn’t rule out a possible comeback:
“We’ll never know what tomorrow brings,” she added.
Despite not taking home the crown, Winwyn stayed gracious and showed support for Miss Universe Philippines 2025 winner Ahtisa Manalo, saying she was proud to celebrate her victory.
Winwyn represented Muntinlupa in this year’s pageant, marking a powerful return to the stage after several years focused on acting and advocacy work.
