Vivamax actress Karen Lopez, also known by her real name Iris Abraham, has resurfaced on social media after several days of going off the radar—clarifying that she stepped away to prioritize her mental health.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, Lopez apologized for her sudden disappearance, explaining that she needed time to rest and deal with personal issues. “I’m really sorry for everything. I just needed to focus on myself. I’ve been mentally and emotionally drained,” she shared in Filipino.
Lopez expressed gratitude for the concern and support she received, noting that she is on the path to recovery and is working on getting back to normal—“slowly but surely.”
She had posted a video earlier, seemingly attempting to speak, but deleted it shortly afterward. A follow-up post stated, “Just to clarify things out,” without further elaboration.
Lopez, who signed with Viva Artists Agency in January, recently starred in the VMX film “Habal.” Her last social media activity prior to resurfacing was on May 6.
Although the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) reported no official missing person complaint had been filed, Station 10 in Kamuning initiated an investigation, reviewing CCTV footage and interviewing her assistant.
QCPD continues to encourage anyone with direct information about the actress to come forward.
