Alex Gonzaga couldn’t hide her gratitude and pride as her husband, Mikee Morada, secured the position of vice mayor in Lipa City.
In an emotional Instagram post on May 13, the actress and TV host reflected on their journey during the campaign season, thanking both the Lord and the Lipeños for their overwhelming support.
“We started the year with heavy hearts, but the Lipeños helped ease our pain,” she shared, alluding to the miscarriage she experienced in December 2024 without going into detail.
Gonzaga praised Morada for his humility and sincerity, saying he never demanded support but earned it through genuine dedication to public service.
“I’m so proud of you, Mikee. Your heart is truly for public service,” she wrote, describing how their entire family stood by him voluntarily.
Ending her heartfelt message with a touch of humor, Gonzaga joked, “Don’t worry, the ‘double putukan’ with Vice Mayor is finally happening!”
Morada won decisively, garnering over 139,000 votes against rival Camille Lopez, who received more than 71,000 votes.
