Actress Kate Valdez has addressed and denied rumors that she’s expecting a child with her boyfriend, Fumiya Sankai.
In a recent video posted on their shared TikTok account, the Shining Inheritance star and Sankai were seen enjoying a playful jam session to Sankai’s song “Love Rock,” along with their pet dog. Valdez wore a spaghetti strap dress while Sankai kept it casual in a light blue shirt.
The light-hearted video, however, sparked speculation in the comments, with one user suggesting Valdez was visibly pregnant. Quick to shut down the rumor, Valdez replied, “Last year pa yan ah! Kaloka kayo. Edi bulok na ‘yung bata sa tiyan ko, mga buang kayo,” jokingly pointing out that the video was taken a year ago.
Valdez and Sankai, who have been dating for nearly a year, have shared glimpses of their relationship journey, even revealing that it was Sankai who first fell in love. The couple recently celebrated the New Year in Taiwan before traveling to Japan, managing a semi-long-distance relationship with Sankai residing primarily in Japan.
Dating rumors between the two first surfaced in August 2024 after they were spotted celebrating Valdez’s birthday together at Hong Kong Disneyland.
