Jojo Mendrez Teases Collaboration with Influencer-Singer Elias J Amid Ongoing Buzz

Singer Jojo Mendrez is stirring excitement online after hinting at a possible collaboration with rising internet personality and singer Elias J.

On April 22, Mendrez posted a video on his Facebook page featuring Elias during a vocal warm-up session, practicing the classic hit “Nandito Lang Ako” before the duo performed a brief cover together. “Practice muna with Elias,” Mendrez captioned the clip.

The singer further teased fans by sharing a series of photos and clips showing casual interactions with Elias. In one photo edit, the nickname “JoLias” — a mashup of their names — was prominently featured.

“Grabe, five minutes lang alam na agad ni Elias ang song ko,” Mendrez wrote, impressed by Elias’ quick grasp of the song.

Speculation is also building that Elias will appear in the music video for Mendrez’s latest single, “I Love You Boy,” although no official confirmation has been made yet.

Mendrez, often dubbed the “Revival King,” made headlines previously due to rumored links with actors Mark Herras and Rainier Castillo — rumors he has consistently denied. His friendship with Herras notably ended following legal disputes over alleged threats.

Aside from “I Love You Boy,” originally sung by Timmy Cruz, Mendrez is known for his revivals of OPM classics such as “Nandito Lang Ako” and “Somewhere in My Past.”

Fans are eagerly awaiting whether “JoLias” will bring a new sound to the OPM scene soon.
