President Marcos and First Lady Liza Celebrate 32nd Anniversary with Beachside Boodle Fight in Ilocos Norte

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos marked their 32nd wedding anniversary with a family beach day and traditional Filipino boodle fight at Suba Beach in Ilocos Norte on April 17.

The First Lady shared joyful photos on Facebook, showing the couple with their sons Simon and Vincent enjoying a laid-back celebration. “Boodling our hearts out on our anniversary day,” she captioned the post.

On Instagram, she added a more sentimental note:
“When Bing Crosby first sang ‘the best things in life are free,’ he probably wasn’t thinking about a boodle meal—although he might’ve been onto something. If our anniversary lunch says anything, it’s that nothing compares to the joy of sharing time (and food) with the people we love most!”

The Marcoses were married on April 17, 1993, in Italy and have three sons: Sandro, Simon, and Vinny. Sandro currently serves as a congressman for Ilocos Norte’s first district.

President Marcos also posted a sweet anniversary message on Instagram a day before the celebration, writing, “Tomorrow is our 32nd anniversary. I’m still mystified how my wife, Liza, has managed to put up with me for so long without going insane… Thank you for your love, patience, and strength. I love you, dear.
