Mayoral hopefuls Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and Stella Quimbo were on the campaign trail Sunday, rallying support in Manila and Marikina City ahead of the Eleksyon 2025 polls.
Domagoso, aiming for a comeback as Manila mayor, toured Districts 5 and 6 in a motorcade with his running mate Chi Atienza. Supporters gathered along the route, with many approaching the former mayor for autographs and campaign merchandise.
He is running against incumbent Mayor Honey Lacuna—his former vice mayor—who succeeded him when he pursued the presidency in 2022.
In Marikina City, Stella Quimbo campaigned alongside her political group, Team Bagong Marikina. Quimbo is vying for mayor against former Representative Marjorie “Maan” Teodoro and current Vice Mayor Marion Andres.
Quimbo’s campaign is bolstered by her husband, Miro Quimbo, running for District 2 Representative, and Senator Koko Pimentel, who is eyeing the District 1 congressional seat. Both joined her in a motorcade to energize local voters.
The mayoral race in Marikina is heating up, with Maan Teodoro supported by her husband, outgoing Mayor Marcy Teodoro, who is now campaigning for the District 1 seat.
