Actor-comedian Buboy Villar shared that he’s in a happy relationship with his non-showbiz girlfriend, Isay Sampiano, and the two are now proud parents to a three-month-old baby boy named Kyrie.
The couple went public via a joint Instagram post on March 21, which also marked Villar’s 27th birthday. The post featured sweet moments of the family at what appeared to be a private celebration. “Happy birthday to the guy who still makes me laugh every day! Here’s to another year of blessings,” Sampiano captioned the post.
Villar opened up more about their relationship in a recent episode of the Your Honor podcast. He shared that he was direct in his approach, messaging Sampiano with the intention of getting to know her and being upfront about his feelings. “She became a blessing in disguise,” he said, adding that their relationship feels special because she always listens and genuinely cares.
Explaining why he initially kept the relationship private, Villar said he wanted to shield Sampiano from public scrutiny. “I didn’t want people jumping to conclusions or criticizing her online,” he explained. “We’re happy where we are. I’m proud of my partner, our baby, and the love she gives to me and my children.”
Though Villar didn’t share how long they’ve been together, he made it clear that his relationship with Sampiano brings him peace and joy. Villar has two other children—Vlanz and George Michael—with his former partner, Angillyn Gorrens.
