Over 600K Families Achieve Self-Sufficiency Through 4Ps Program – Marcos

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. announced that over 600,000 families have attained self-sufficiency with the support of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).

Speaking at the 74th anniversary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Marcos emphasized the program’s success in assisting families through conditional cash grants, ensuring their children’s education and healthcare.

“Since its inception, nearly 678,000 families have achieved self-sufficiency,” Marcos stated, noting that in 2024 alone, over 4 million households benefited from the initiative.

What is the 4Ps Program?

The 4Ps is a poverty reduction and human capital investment program that provides conditional cash transfers to poor households for up to seven years. The goal is to improve health, nutrition, and education for children aged 0 to 18.

DSWD Launches Digital Donation Platform

The DSWD also unveiled the Kaagapay Donations Portal, an online platform designed to facilitate real-time cash and in-kind donations for disaster relief efforts and residential care facilities (CRCFs).

Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao highlighted that the portal offers:
Online payment options for cash donations
Logistics partners for in-kind donations
Direct links to local government units (LGUs) affected by disasters

Additionally, the DSWD introduced a new digital system to streamline regulatory services. The Harmonized Electronic License and Permit System will allow the public to apply for permits and licenses online, reducing processing time to 14 days.
